House Captains

From their first day in Reception  the children at Kenilworth are sorted into four houses; Balmoral (Yellow), Buckingham (Blue), Sandringham (Yellow) and Windsor (Red).

Within these houses, an election happens every September to elect 2 house captains from Year 6 to represent each house.

The house captains' role is to lead weekly assemblies, encourage their team to earn house points, organise fundraising events and represent the school to the governing body.

This year the house captains have worked hard to develop their presentation skills and are currently organising their fundraising event in June.

The Junior Travel Ambassadors are a new team who work hard to ensure that road safety has a high priority within Kenilworth Primary School.  These Year 5 pupils have only been appointed since April and they have already organised Walk to School week, led a whole school assembly and written to local businesses to try and gain sponsorship to purchase safe parking signs for outside the school.

They want to make sure that every child is safe on their journeys to and from school. Keep an eye on the newsletter for what they are planning next!

Sports Council

The sports council are six Year 5 pupils who enjoy sport and wish to help other children have a wide range of sporting opportunities.

They run lunch clubs every day for the younger children in the school and help to organise resources, competitions and report upon sporting news within the whole school newsletter each week.

These children have worked hard to develop their leadership skills and enjoy giving their time to support other pupils.  They have some exciting events planned for the summer term - so watch this space!
